Start-up Lab focus
For the third round of Start-up Lab there are a few topics for which we are especially keen on receiving applications. These include containerization, future of work, last-mile delivery and digitalization of our operations using emerging technologies such as blockchain, IoT and robotics. This does not mean that any other topics are not welcome but just acts as an additional inspiration for people who contemplate to apply to Start-up Lab.

is needed is a good idea and an entrepreneurial mindset.
WHAT IS IN IT
Tailored to the specific idea and team we jointly set-up the best possible work environment (e.g., lean processes, access to office spaces, working hours).
Exposure to and collaboration with DPDHL Senior Management and Innovation Network.
Funding & Resources
Seed funding and provision of resources needed to put your idea into practice (e.g., market research support, IT development).
Mentoring & coaching
Benefit from your business sponsor and mentors (internal and/ or external) through coaching, pitch support, a comprehensive onboarding, etc.
Short-listed applications will be invited to Bonn for intensive pitch coaching. The finalists will pitch to the Corporate Board for the final decision to be accepted to enter Start-up Lab program.
Teams joining Start-up Lab will be invited to onboarding sessions in a central location to kick-start their incubator experience. In Start-up Lab, teams will have 4 months to develop their ideas using a Lean Start-up approach. Definition of specific working conditions will be on a case-by-case basis, in close alignment with your line manager, to discuss the work agreement if your team is to be selected. At the end of the 4 months the Start-up Lab team will help to ensure continuous support for promising ideas also after the incubation phase has ended.
